Proving Canola Variety Performance

In selecting canola varieties to commercialize, we review results of small plot trials conducted by North Dakota State University (NDSU), the University of Minnesota and Co-op Variety Registration Trials conducted in Western Canada. These are excellent information sources for making variety selection, but ultimately it is the performance at commercial field scale that matters.

We are committed to demonstrating the performance of varieties and to that end we will continue to expand our side-by-side trial program in North Dakota, where dealers and farmers compare our varieties head-to-head with leading competitors.

The table below shows the performance of BrettYoung varieties against leading competitors in small plot and dealer strip trials conducted primarily in North Dakota.
