BrettYoung’s turf program is driven by simple concepts. First, we work with leading partners around the globe to access genetics that fit our customers’ needs. Then our agronomists collaborate with growers to produce seed that will deliver high performance. Finally, BrettYoung processes and packages products to meet our customers’ specifications, and using our logistics resources, we deliver quickly to meet our customers’ needs.

Production

BrettYoung produces seed of perennial ryegrass, tall fescue and fine fescues in Western Canada. The vast western Canadian production area is comprised of over 70 million acres of cropland and is strategically positioned close to major consumer markets in North America.

BrettYoung employs a team of agronomists who work directly with farmers from field preparation right through seed storage in order to produce seed of the highest quality. BrettYoung has realized significant yield increases of turf seed over the past decade, due in large part to their agronomists analyzing and promoting several best management practices.
