What Ultracoat treated seed means to you!

Ultracoat is a combination of super phosphate fertilizer and the fungicide Apron. This combination in the form of a multi-layered seed coating delivers the benefits of the both fungicide and fertility creating a nutrient/fungicide balance that is key to get seedlings through stress periods.

Ultracoat provides the following benefits:

• Phosphate coating on seed enhances root development. Root growth is stimulated by phosphate, which ensures better water and nutrient uptake. Phosphate coating results in stronger seedlings and faster establishment of grass.
• The phosphate coating adds density to the grass seed for easier and more accurate applications through improved flowability and visibility in the soil.
• Apron fungicide protects the young seedlings from pythium fungus (damping off ) as well as other foliar diseases like downy mildews and late blights, which can result in plant stand losses of 50% or more during germination. Pythium attacks young untreated seedlings.
