Annual Forages
Packer Peas
Chosen for their smaller seed size, Packer Peas give growers significantly more pea plants per acre resulting in higher quality forage and better milk production. Packer Peas have also shown good resistance to lodging making them ideal to use for establishing forages such as alfalfa.
Tripper
Tripper is a high value pea/triticale mixture consisting of 50% Packer Peas and 50% Semi Beardless Triticale. Semi Beardless Triticale helps provide better palatability and feed value over Bearded Triticale. Tripper produces high quality forages for dairy and beef herds throughout northern US and Eastern Canada and is commonly used to establish other forages such as alfalfa.
Sprint
Sprint is a high value pea/oat mixture consisting of 50% Packer Peas and 50% Forage Oats. Sprint is an ideal forage to seed after Winter Wheat or Sweet Corn in the first two weeks of August. Sprint is known to produce excellent volumes of good quality forage in approximately 60 days making it ideal for quick forage production in the northern US and Eastern Canada.
