BrettYoung exiting the pod sealant market
WINNIPEG, MB – BrettYoung’s distribution agreement with Miller Chemical & Fertilizer Corp. for Pod Ceal® has come to an end. As such BrettYoung has made the decision to exit the pod sealant market effective immediately.
While BrettYoung believes that pod sealants provide value for growers in certain harvest management applications in various crops, BrettYoung concluded that the product is not strategically aligned with its business direction.
"We will watch the continued development of the pod sealant market with interest and see Pod Ceal as a valuable tool for North American legume and canola growers. That said Pod Ceal was not aligned with our strategic decision to focus our energies on the company’s growing seed and biological businesses” says Dan Mulder, BrettYoung’s Vice President, Retail Sales.
